Before you choose it

This skill turns blackboard updates into research-graph.yml nodes and parent-child links for a draggable research-progress graph. It defines node fields for status, Markdown content, ownership, colors, and project-local image attachments, and preserves existing node IDs when updating a graph.

Best for

Research teams using Mobius blackboards who want an agent to keep a visual progress graph current.

Common tasks

  • Create an initial graph for a research project and its workstreams.
  • Add a new experiment node linked to its prerequisite work.
  • Mark nodes in progress, completed, successful, or failed as the blackboard changes.
  • Attach an eligible project-local image to a research node.

Permissions and data

Reads research updates supplied through the blackboard context and writes a YAML graph in the project's blackboard directory.

Permissions
  • Read the existing research-graph.yml before making incremental updates.
  • Create directories when the target blackboard directory does not exist.
  • Write or overwrite research-graph.yml in the specified project path.
Data handling
  • Uses research progress, task ownership, node content, and optional image paths supplied for the project.
  • Image attachments must be absolute paths within bind_path and use an allowed image extension.

Limitations

  • It does not perform the research itself; it only represents reported progress.
  • It waits for blackboard updates rather than repeatedly polling.
  • No host integration or runtime requirements are specified in the supplied document.
  • Commercial use requires a separate commercial license.

What DSHub checked

  • The complete skill document was captured from a pinned Git commit.
  • The document specifies the graph file location, YAML schema, valid status values, and update rules.

What DSHub did not check

  • The skill was not installed or executed by DSHub.
  • Compatibility with a particular agent harness version is not declared.

name: research-generate-graph description: instructions for research generate graph agent. research_role: progress-display-artist

Research Graph (research-graph.yml)

Research Graph

<项目 bind_path>/.imac/blackboard/<researchId>/research-graph.yml

与该 research 的 blackboard.jsonl 同目录。

nodes:
  - id: 1
    color: "#3b82f6"
    parent_nodes: []
    visual_effects: [in_progress]
    main_content: |
    owner: chief_researcher
    attached_images: []
  - id: 2
    color: "#10b981"
    parent_nodes: [1]
    visual_effects: [successful]
    owner: research_assistant_A
    attached_images:
      - /home/me/proj/.imac/blackboard/abcd1234/baseline.png
  - id: 3
    color: "#ef4444"
    parent_nodes: [1, 2]
    visual_effects: [failed, in_progress]
    main_content: 融合实验第一轮精度下降,重做中。
    owner: research_assistant_A

被 parent_nodes 引用的标识。
visual_effects 字符串列表 状态标签,取值见下,可组合。
attached_images 字符串列表 图片绝对路径,须位于 bind_path 内、扩展名为 png/jpg/jpeg/gif/svg/webp/bmp/ico。

visual_effects 取值:

先读现有文件,在原结构上增量改:更新 visual_effects 表达进展、加节点用新 id 并设好 parent_nodes、调连线即改 parent_nodes,整体覆盖写回。
